Coaching Education

Everett Lacrosse Club believes our coaches make the difference in our player's enjoyment of the game and the development of lacrosse skills. In order to facilitate the best experience for our coaches, players, and parents, we put our coaches through background checks and mandatory concussion awareness training before they are authorized to step on the practice field.

We also elevate our coaches' ability to teach lacrosse by supporting and paying for them to become certified though US Lacrosse. This includes additional background checks, online training, classroom training, and on the field training. Helping these young men and women develop into better players and better community participants is our goal.

For more information on what our coaches go through in the certification traing, please visit: US Lacrosse Coaching Education Program

Officials Development

US Lacrosse encourages all officials to be US Lacrosse certified, and encourages lacrosse officials associations to follow the minimum standards for officials’ certification. It's our vision that all lacrosse contests are officiated by US Lacrosse-certified officials for the benefit and quality of our sport and for the enhanced enjoyment for all involved in lacrosse.

Coaches and Referees Needed!

Youth Coaches

Youth teams can only be established if coaches are available. Please consider volunteering! Whether you've coached other youth sports or never coached before, you can coach youth lacrosse! We'll teach you everything you need to know. Criminal background checks will be conducted for all youth coaches and assistant coaches. Coach volunteers can register online when they register their player.

Volunteers

Every program in our club needs volunteers! Opportunities are available for every ability and schedule, from home or on the field. Please sign up when you register your player. The future of our club depends on you.

Referees Needed

High school players are needed as referees for youth games. Referee training is required for these paid positions. Please see the Washington Lacrosse Officials Association (WALOA) for registration and certification information. Please contact VPYouth@everettlacrosseclub.org for more information.

Umpires are also needed to referee high school girls games. Please see the Washington Women's Lacrosse Umpire Association (WWLUA) for training information. Please contact HSGirls@everettlacrosse.org if you're interested in helping.
